Pacha

Pacha has the most famous logo in dance music and a genuinely lovely old building near the port — whitewashed, multi-level, more intimate than its capacity suggests. It is also, for most of the week, the venue trading hardest on its history.

The exception is Flower Power, which is a sixties and seventies fancy-dress party that has been running for decades and is one of the most enjoyable nights on the island. Three generations in wigs, no pretension, and a crowd that is there to have fun rather than be seen. Go to that.

The rest of the programme is fine and expensive: €45–70 door, €18–22 drinks, €1,000 table minimum, and a crowd that skews older and moneyed. The compensation is location — you can walk home to Ibiza Town, which saves you €30–45 and an hour of queuing.

Who it's for

Go if: People staying in Ibiza Town, and anyone up for Flower Power.

Don't bother if: Anyone chasing current line-ups or a serious sound system.

What it costs

If the door price is the problem, Eden is the cheaper option at €20–35 — the best value big room on the island. no pretence at all.
