Amnesia

Amnesia is the one we would pick if we only got one night. Two rooms: a proper dark techno room, and the terrace — a glass-roofed space where the sun comes up through the ceiling at about six in the morning while several thousand people are still going. That hour is the best thing this island does.

The crowd is the most mixed of any big club here: Spanish regulars, Italians, Germans, a genuine spread of ages, and people who came for the line-up rather than the venue. It has none of the Playa d'en Bossa gloss and is much better for it.

Practically: it's inland, so budget for the taxi both ways or use the Discobus. Door is €50–75, drinks €18–22, and the €900 table minimum is the most defensible on the island if there are eight of you.

Who it's for

Go if: Anyone who came to Ibiza for the music and wants one unforgettable night.

Don't bother if: Early sleepers, and anyone who needs to be walking distance from bed.

What it costs

If the door price is the problem, Eden is the cheaper option at €20–35 — the best value big room on the island. no pretence at all.

Relaxed. Nobody here is checking your shoes.

Getting home

It's inland at San Rafael, so there's no walking home. Discobus runs to both towns; taxi to Ibiza Town is €25–35.
